1. Use a photo of Dorothy linking arms with the Cowardly Lion, Scarecrow, and Tin Man (can be found on the internet) on the front of a folded card;

• Make a yellow brick road on the walkway leading to your door. Use sheets of yellow construction paper or yellow plastic tablecloths firmly taped to the ground.
• Sign on the door saying “Welcome to the land of Oz”
• Rainbow colored balloon arch to greet the guests to Oz.

• Flying Monkey in the Middle – Use a stuffed toy monkey to play the usual monkey in the middle game. All the kids stand in a circle except for one, who is the monkey that stands in the middle of the circle. Everyone tosses the stuffed monkey back and forth across the circle while the child in the middle tries to catch it. When he/she does, whoever tossed it that time now becomes the monkey in the middle. Keep playing.

• Ruby Slipper Rescue – Before the party, spray paint an old pair of shoes red and cover with red glitter. Hide each shoe in a different spot. Send the guests out to rescue Dorothy’s ruby slippers.

• I’m Melting! – This game must be played outside. Let the kids throw water balloons at a poster of the Wicked Witch to make her melt away.
